As your Birth Doula I will visit you twice before your baby is born. This will enable us to get to know each other better and to talk through your hopes and fears for the coming birth. I will be on call for 2 weeks before your EDD (estimated due date) and for 2 weeks after your EDD. I will be with you from the time you ask me to come (be it early or late in your labour) and will stay until your baby is born and you are settled after the birth.

Antenatal Care
You will have access to unlimited email and telephone contact with me as I am happy to answer whatever questions you may have.

Postnatal Care
As your postnatal Doula I will visit you in your home and help as you adjust to life as a new parent (whether it is for your first child or subsequent children). I will undertake light housework, cook meals, look after baby whilst you get your well earned rest or simply have a bath.

This service is tailored to the individual needs of the new parents. My aim is to promote mother’s speedy recovery from the birth by being a caring and encouraging helper. Drawing on the wisdom of experience, I can:

• Provide mother to mother breastfeeding support

• Help you to recognise and address your baby’s needs

• Help you get enough sleep by looking after baby in your home while you rest

• Shop for, prepare and serve you food, ensuring that everyone in the household is well fed

• Do your laundry

• Keep the housework under control

• Be a friend and a good listener

You might like to have postnatal support all day every day for a number of weeks or maybe for a few hours here and there, it’s up to you!

Birth Preparation
I will visit you and your partner at home and we will talk through how you can prepare yourself for the birth of your baby. Topics covered include

• Preparation for labour

• Encouraging your baby into optimum position for labour and birth

• Protecting your birth environment

• Exploring your birth choices

• Protecting your space when baby is born

• Establishing feeding

Welcome Home Package

If you are looking for some support when you bring your new baby home but aren't sure if you want a Postnatal doula then this is for you. I can offer emotional and practical support at a time you will be needing it most.

• I will meet you at home the day you leave hospital with your baby

• If it was a homebirth I will arrive when you call

• I will help settle you in and unpack

• I can show you how to bath your baby

• Support you in feeding

• Cook you a delicious meal

I will be 'on-call' for you for 72 hours. You can contact me at any time with any concerns or worries you may have. If I am not able to advise you over the phone I will come to your home. This can be so you can gain a few hours rest in the first few days or just chat over any concerns you may have.

Meals Service
I will prepare you 5 meals for your freezer.
